D&M Appliance, Heating, and Air-Conditioning began over 26 years ago with one man, one truck, and a vision for success.
In 1990, Danny McCarley opened D&M Appliance. At that time it was an appliance repair and service company. After building a clientele within the Auburn and Opelika area, he made the decision to expand the business to also offer heating and air-conditioning service and installation.
In the spring of 1995, D&M Appliance, Heating, and Air-Conditioning was created.
With the expansion of the services provided, also came the expansion of the areas we service. While already serving the Lee County area, he then expanded D&M Appliance, Heating, and Air-Conditioning's service area to also include both Macon and Chambers counties.
We continued to service the tri-county area offering heating, air-conditioning, and appliance repair services for the next 11 years. Then, in the summer of 2006, he made the decision to once again expand the business. With his wife and business partner, Lorraine McCarley, he worked to expand the business service area and services offered even further. In the summer of 2006, they created Air & Climate Heating And Air-Conditioning, Inc.
Air & Climate Heating And Air-Conditioning, a subsidiary of D&M Appliance, Heating, and Air-Conditioning, offers residential and light commercial heating and air-conditioning service, repair, and installation, as well as refrigeration and appliance service and repair. Located in Millbrook, Air & Climate Heating And Air-Conditioning services the Macon, Montgomery, Tallapoosa, and Elmore counties.
The creation of the second company brought additional licensing requirements. In July of 2006, after going before the State Of Alabama’s Board Of Heating And Air-Conditioning Contractors, Mr. McCarley became one of the first HVAC licensed contractors to hold not just one, but two separate heating and air-conditioning, and refrigeration licenses within the state of Alabama.
Many would have stopped at their last expansion, but Danny and Lorraine wanted to do more for their community. So many customers over the years wanted to purchase parts and make their own appliance repairs, and they had to turn them away with no way to help them.
So, in the fall of 2014, they opened D&M Parts Supply. Located on 2nd Avenue in Opelika, next to the service department, D&M Parts Supply is here for the individual homeowners who have the ability to make their own repairs for their appliance or heating and air system. From stocking water filters for routine maintenance of one’s refrigerator, to heating elements for dryers, to coil cleaners and air filters for heating and air systems, D&M Parts Supply supports the customers' ability to make the repairs themselves.
"As the years have gone by we have expanded our service areas, we have branded new logos, we have started two additional companies, but above all of this, we have been blessed with dedicated customers who remain loyal to the D&M name.
We are thankful for the support and dedication that they have
given to us since the very beginning."
"You Can Always Depend On D&M Appliance, Heating, and Air-Conditioning!"
